Update of sorts
Apr 28, 2009

Hey friends,

We just wanted to post a short update to let everyone know we are still alive.

There are some personal issues within the naive family that require our attention right now. We are extremely sorry to disappoint everyone, but we really want to be supportive to each other right now.

We ask that you just hang on and wait to see what happens!

Thanks and we love you!

YO! What it is hip-cats and jive-turkeys,

We got bamboozled in NJ. Fo’ reals. We dropped a dope batch of new threads and were so psyched to debut it all at Bamboozle in New Jersey, but then Tony Soprano intervened…

Naïve, along with our buddies from AKT Enterprises, shipped five pallets of freight via UPS from our Batcave in Orlando to the UPS center in East Rutherford, NJ. According to UPS, there was a mix up at their distribution center and all of our stuff was “mistakenly shipped all over the country.” Without tracking numbers or any other way of figuring out where it all went, we have had to come to grips with the fact that it is all lost forever.

Unfortunately we got played and were unable to debut our new line at Bamboozle, thanks to some unexpected UPS errors. Sad face. Basically we went to Bamboozle and had nothing for you guys but leftovers from the online store. Needless to say it was mostly odd sizes. PS: What kind of a human wears XXXXXS? I swear this thing wouldn’t fit the dog from Paris Hilton’s purse, but whatever.

It is this Dick’s (as in private eye, or a dick as they are often called) opinion that there was a mob hit put out on the new stuff. I can’t blame them for stealing it though, it is some fresh shirt. So all you Yorkers and Jerseyites, if you see any old Italian or Russian guys in sweat suits and Naïve Tees, let me know so that I can confirm my suspicions.

Stolen gear or not, like Kanye West we’re comin’ atcha harder, better, faster, stronger, in shutter shades with a vengeance ya’ll ain’t even heard ‘bout yet. Look out! Look out! Our new line is the hottest thing since pancakes to hit the prairie! Stop by the store to cop some before it’s gone.

Even if you got more flies than dead presidents in your bank, stop on by to check out our Naïve Models looking hotter than the equator in the new line. Is that Brian Banks or Usher? I can’t tell, but he might be too good lookin’ to be Usher. Let it burn.

YO! I just stole Wilmer Valderrama’s girl and he’s after me so I gotta hit the bricks, but ya’ll keep it cheesy and send me some pics of you in the new line.

YO fes! Chillax bro!

Too cool for school since ’91,

Jon Foley

New Line is now for sale!

I’m crankin’ that newsletter so welcome back. Let’s get this out there right now that I’ve been listening to hip-hop non-stop for like two hours and BET is on in the background. More important than my embrace of tall tees and grillz, are my updates and ticklets for you. Naive has done it’s first ever REISSUE of two designs. This is the first time Naïve has ever re-released a design so a belated Happy Birthday to you. The much adored FAME and SERENITY are back in stock!!!!!! Check, ch-check check check, ch-check it out!

I ain’t saying she a goldigger, but my girl is making me switch to v-necks. I was a little concerned, but fortunately I got one from the Naïve SALE going on right now in the online store. There is a TON of stuff on sale, and we have extremely limited sizes so hurry hurry.

Some of you wonder, “What’s next for Naïve?” Baby we’re going into the wild like Emile Hirsch. Naïve will be all over the continental this summer hitting tour stops in various spots around the U.S. of A. Get your cutoffs and blueblockers ready. Summer is hott, Naïve is hotter.

First stop: Bamboozle at the Meadowlands in Jersey. That’s right, May three and four we’ll have shop set up in the Garden State. Stop on by to pick up the new threads before they hit the store. Oh yeah, and some bands will be there too. I hear some will even stop by to hang out with you folks at our booth. Holler.

If you wanna know where else we’ll be, email Matt at matt@naiveclothing.com. We’re gonna announce the rest of the stops later on. Who knows? Maybe we’ll end up on your block?

Gangster Since ’86,

Hello to the beautiful people,

Welcome back you Animainiacs. We’ve missed you, and hope the feeling is mutual. To express our love for you and to see more of your wonderful faces around our website, we have created a monster sale.

This sale is going on RIGHT NOW. So pop lock and drop it on over to the store to pick up some new duds. Yeah, I called ‘em duds because I just got done watching 3:10 to Yuma, and I’m all cowboy-ed up. So git yur six guns a ready and warm up them trigger fingers ‘cause it’s time for a duel! A duel between Naïve and the rest of the clothing world!

That’s right; Naïve clothing is now on EMPTEES. Round up your posse, saddle up, and get on over to throw some love our way! I know there’s a plethora (Naïve word of the day) of love out there, so let us feel a ‘lil.

In other news… we are running out of stock quickly and are gearing up for a new batch of delicious clothes! Send us some ideas or thoughts you may have for new items or designs. A few months ago, a Skyler L. from Idaho Falls sent us an idea for a space octopus, and look what happened: Intergalactic Blues featuring the foxtopus! Be a part of the process and throw some ideas our way.

As I said at the outset of this little newsletter convo, you are the beautiful people. We know it, you know it. Here’s what else we know: we wanna see all you hipsters rockin’ your new Naïve hotness. So here’s what you gotta do: send us a photo of you showcasing the clothes so we can add it to the website. Love love for you. Send the photo to info@naiveclothing.com

Newsletter November 2007

Terminal C, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport 11:09 AM August 26, 2007

Josh and I sat next to Lil' Jon as he worked on his Macbook Pro creating what appeared to be the beat that is probably on it's way to being a club anthem as I pen these words. Curious to confirm that this man sitting next to us was really Lil' Jon, I leaned in and quietly said,

"Hey, I don't wanna be rude, but are you-"

Before I could even finish my question he interrupted me with a,

"Shhhhhh," as he nodded his head yes.

As he quieted me I saw his gold diamond encrusted dental caps (AKA his grill) through his pursed lips. Through the course of our brief conversation, I learned he too was on his way to Las Vegas for the fashion trade shows. As I ended our conversation I told him,

"Hey, maybe we'll party later this week?"

With a laugh he replied,

"Yeah, maybe."

That is how the Naive Clothing Vegas Vacation began. What followed was a whirlwind four days of fashion, buffets, craps tables, VIP sections at the hottest clubs in the world, and a little QT (quality time) with Mr. Naive Clothing himself, Joshua Martin.

After our Las Vegas liaisons, we went to work on the new Naive Line. Lots of designs, stories, and Red Bulls later, we had successfully created what I am proud to say is our best line yet. I <3<3 this line. It's awesome. If you haven't seen it yet be sure to stop by the website and check it out. My personal favorite is the "Waterworks" windbreaker which is one of the coolest jackets I have ever seen.

In the next month we hope to complete a photo shoot, so be on the lookout for the faces of Naive rockin' the newest gear. In the mean time, it would be great to get a little more love from you folks. I personally know for a fact that we have some of the most attractive customers of any company out there. I know it's true because I've met most of you. You're hotties. So send in your favorite shot of you in your Naive apparel for our "friends" tab in the interact section of our website. My personal favorite is the guy who's decked out in Naive for what looks like his senior pictures. AWESOME.

Whether it's your senior picture, your band's show, or just you and your crew rabble rousing and taking a run through the roses; we wanna see it! So send in those glamor shots of you in Naive Clothing so we add some more of your beautiful faces to our friends section. I mean, we are friends, right? Then get on it!

One of the things that I have personally always loved about Naive is that we are ULTRA accessible. We want to be a clothing company that you feel a part of. One of the ways we want to enable you as a participant is by giving you the chance to contribute to our line. So if you have an idea that you think would make a sweet Naive shirt, or you have always wished we would make a (insert item here i.e. Naive sportsbra), then email us at info@naiveclothing.com. We are currently looking especially hard for some great holiday ideas, so hit us up! (Votes for a Naive Yalmaclaus anyone?)

The other way (and in my opinion the most fun way) to be a part of Naive is to join our street team. Through my own participation in the Naive Street Team I have been backstage for Devil Wears Prada, ETID, Circa Survive, Paramore, and many more as well as getting to hang with bands like Gasoline Heart, Family Force Five, Anberlin, Scenes From A Movie, Sherwood, and Copeland. I have also traveled with Naive on Vans Warped Tour and to Cornerstone Illinois. Being a part of the Naive Street Team has changed my life forever. Join today and start having a blast being a part of Naive. Hit me up at Jon@naiveclothing.com or the Street Team Myspace page for more info.

YEAH! WHAT! OK! I'm out,

Jon Foley AKA the Naive Bad Boy

Naive Clothing News Update 7/24/07
Jul 24, 2007

Naive Clothing Newsletter 07.24.2007
naiveclothing.com

Greetings Naive Friends!

Well, it has been a very long time since the last update, and we have so much stuff going on, so I’ll just get right into it!

First! If you have visited the web site in the last week, you might have seen three new designs, and thought "HEY, WHAT ARE THESE?" Well those, are now in the store! If you head over to www.districtlines.com/browse/naiveclothing, you can see all of our new items. We have our FIRST V-Neck ever! (Cornerstone kids, be quiet!) We also have an amazing purple American Apparel Hoodie and three more brand new designs that are oh so sweet!

Please do us a huge favor and pick up these designs while sizes last! That Purple hoodie is greatness! I personally wear it everyday, and I live in Florida!

I also just wanted to take a minute to do a summer recap for all of you who were wondering [my mom and my girlfriend] what we did all summer!
Cornerstone Festival was amazing! We had so much fun. If you came by our booth, I am sure you got sucked into playing a game of Cee-Lo with Foley (Dice, to the kids who watched) and realized "hey–this guy is taking my quarters!" Well, for those of you who had your quarters taken, rest assured that Brent from the Skies Revolt came out the big winner! He proved to be the best Cee-lo out of all of us!

Speaking of Brent and how awesome he is.... We met some amazing bands on the road this summer. By far our favorite show as a company was Slam Dunk the Brutal HardCore/Rap band at Cornerstone. Visit http://myspace.com/xslamxdunk —they are now sponsored by Naive Clothing, exclusively wearing our GOLD and SILVER foil shirts. Other bands we met on the road were Gwen Stacy, The Skies Revolt, The Devil Wears Prada, Write This Down, and many more! We also got to see some of our favorite bands like Gasoline Heart, Sherwood, Mike Dunn and the Kings of New England, and many more.

So that is our Cornerstone Wrap-Up! Sorry it is so late; we were just busy trying to get the new line out!

On the family side! Scenes From a Movie just released their Debut Full Length today, and we are so excited for them! Please head to your local store, iTunes, or Smart Punk to purchase this album! It is amazing! You will be singing along to "Heartbeat From Hell" in no time!

Nearing the end of this newsletter, we just want to announce a few in-house business things.

As many of you know, the last year has been a hard year for Naive Clothing. We had some business deals fall through, and it just proved to be one of the most stressful times of my life and in the lifetime of the company. We are a year older and a year wiser, and we have renewed vision and passion for this company and the world change it can lead to. The first step in this process is announcing that we are starting to partner with more organizations closer to our hearts right now and just hoping to take what we have been given and help those out for the greater good. Please remember that $1.00 of every item goes to one of our sponsored organizations. We are in the process of working with new ones, so be on the lookout for that.

We have also added a new staff member. His name is Jon Foley, but you can just call him Foley. Foley is on board to help us as we make the decision to take our line national into stores. He is also in charge of our festival sales and will be handling some band responsibilities. We are really excited to have him on board. You can visit him on our staff page on the web site or send him an email at Foley@naiveclothing.com

We just continually want to thank each and every one of you for supporting Naive Clothing over the last four years. We are only able to do what we do because of you! Our hearts seriously break each time we do an event and people get excited about the items! We have big plans in store, so stay tuned to the web site, the myspace, the facebook, and this here newsletter!

We love you all!
